How you can make your home more energy efficient

If you want to save energy in your home and you don't know where to start from follow these steps to find out how:

  1. Assess where you are currently wasting energy. You can do this by completing a Home Energy Check on line or by phone with one of our Energy Advisors

  3. Follow our Energy Saving Tips to change some of you habits
  4. Evaluate if you can integrate renewable energy in your home

1. FREE Home Energy Check and Report


Government research suggests that the average home in the UK could reduce their fuel bill by up to £200 per year.

By completing a Home Energy Check you can discover where you are wasting energy in your home. It also enables you to receive a tailored report containing advice on the appropriate measures to take and detailing the potential annual saving.

2. Find out if you qualify for an energy saving grant

if you want to find out whether you are elegible for a grant to improve the energy efficiency of your home you can either call our expert energy advisors or complete a Home Energy Check on line.

Grants and discounts availability changes over time depending on government and Local Authorities initiatives. They range from discounts for insulation improvements to grants for heating systems, home improvements and renewable energy installations. Some of these are subject to means testing while others are available to all home owners and private tenants.

3. Energy Saving Tips

Saving energy in the home does not mean necessarily spendin big sums of money. If you can not afford an investment there are still no cost measures that can save you up to £150 a year on the fuel bills.

4. Integrate renewable energy in the home

Some of us have already taken all the possible measures to make the home energy saving. But there is more you can do if you wish to improve even further the energy efficiency of the property.

Cutting down your energy use can also be achieved by using renewable energy sources. There is a wide range of systems available that use natural resources to generate energy for either heating or elecricity.
