Renewable energy in your home

1. Renewable Energy

Renewable energy plays an important role in reducing CO2 emissions and avoiding depletion of finite resources. It comes from inexhaustible resources such as wind, flowing water, sun and the heat of the earth.

By using renewable energy you therefore contribute to keep the air cleaner, reduce the use of resource, limit the effect of climate change and moreover cut down the cost of your fuel bills forever.

If you would like to find out more on how you can use renewable energy in your home please call us on our free phone 0800 512 012

2. Solar Discount Scheme

The Solar Discount Scheme* was a scheme that helped people to install solar water heating systems by making the process straightforward. Our installers are members of the Solar Trade Association and registered with the Clear Skies government grant.

*The Solar Discount Scheme is a programme of the Environment Centre, supported byf Havant Borough Council, Eastleigh Borough Council, Southampton City Council, Fareham Borough Council, Gosport Borough Council, Testvalley Borough Council, Winchester City Council, Basingstoke & Dean Borough Council, Rushmoor Borough Council and Hampshire County Council, the Environment Centre (tEC) has been able to establish the Solar Discount Scheme, providing solar hot water systems from trustworthy suppliers at affordable prices.

Heating hot water using the sun's solar energy is the easiest and most affordable way of harnessing energy from the sun. Between fifty and sixty percent of your domestic hot water needs can be harnessed from the sun.
