the Environment Centre (tEC) is a leading expert providing sustainability know-how for homes, communities and businesses, from incisive research and advice to implementing practical project management.
Harnessing 20 years of industry experience, community involvement and business acumen, tEC facilitates projects with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency across the UK and Europe.

- tEC is an independent charitable company based in Southampton that has been in operation since 1992.

Over the past three years, tEC has:
- Secured £3 million of funding to deliver sustainability initiatives in the region
- Worked on 5 major fuel poverty projects within Hampshire
- Managed 4 EU projects bringing new skills and knowledge to the region
- Provided extensive support programmes to local authorities and government bodies
- Developed new links between private, public and third sector organisations
- Delivered fuel poverty training sessions to 615 front line staff, reaching an additional 12,000 of their colleagues
- Delivered environmental education programmes to 172 schools, reaching over 15,000 young people
- Hosted a free phone advice line; providing impartial support on a range of sustainability issues
- Continued to hone our community engagement activities: developing bespoke engagement strategies combining proven techniques with innovative approaches
