Seminar 'Europe 2020': the Belgian perspective
A second webinar has been provided for, reflecting the discussions the SISCO partners had during a seminar on EU2020-policy. This policy wants to reduce CO2-Emissions by means of energy efficiency measures and increased use of biofuels or sustainable energy production. This seminar started with a number of presentation on the Belgium policy. A document with a summary of the discussion between the partners has been added in the end. Europa 2020 – Climate plan – Province of Antwerp

The province of Antwerp has three goals:
1. to become a climate neutral organisation by 2020
2. at least 20% municipalities climate neutral
3. stimulate citizens to realise reduction
Europa 2020 – Climate Policy of the city of Antwerp

Greet Nulens illustrate the goals of the city of Antwerp:
- 2020: At least 20% reduction of CO2-emission within the; entire urban area compared to 2005; At least 30% reduction of CO2-emission for the own organization compared to 2005.
- 2050: CO2-neutral
Europa 2020 – Nearly Zero Energy

EU has set an ambitious target to ensure that all new buildings are nearly zero energy buildings by 2020. Public buildings should comply with this requirement by 2018. What does it means Nearly Zero Energy in practice? Mr. Shady Attia illustrate and shows the different between European Countries.
