A. Planning Models

This part of the module showcases a number of sustainability models encountered during the project. All models have their own characteristics, strengths and weaknesses. It is important to be aware of the capabilities of various models, in order to choose the right model to fits the problem area and stage of development. It is also important to realise that a sustainability model is only a tool for structuring progress towards achieving sustainability, and not an end in itself.

Four different models will be examined: the Telos PPP-scan; the DCMR 'LOGO' method; a Belgian sustainability model; and the Schiedam omega-DCBA model.
