The affordable warmth checklist for the
Hitting the Cold Spots project provides tips to help frontline staff recognise indicators of fuel poverty. Signs to look out for include: condensation and mould, lack of visible heating and curtains closed during the day. Clients may be reluctant to return home from public events or hospital, or may tell you that they are struggling with the costs of heating. Those most vulnerable to the effects of the cold include older people, young children and those with a disability or long term health condition.

We can support eligible Hampshire residents to access grants and discounts and fix broken heating systems. It's also a good idea to check that insulation is up to standard to keep households warm and bills down.
