SusPurPol Philosophy - The Thread of "Well-Being"

An international exchange of knowledge and experience on sustainable development and policies using the "Well-Being" philosophy linking Social, Economic and Environmental principles. The project aims to demonstrate the opportunities for new businesses in the renewable energy and sustainable development area across Europe. By being able to help satisfy a new market for their goods and services created by the development of concerted planning policies to promote climate change reduction as articulated jointly by a number of local authorities working together. If the project is a success a number of benefits can be envisaged.

These will include:

1. Creating new employment and training opportunities for local people in satisfying the installation and maintenance demand created

2. Helping social issues such as fuel poverty reduction for properties into which more cost efficient and sustainable energy and resource management facilities have been installed

The "Well-Being" loop is then closed by the fact that the installation in all new properties of such technologies will deliver at least 10% renewable energy per home, reducing CO2 emissions and harmful climate change outcomes from development.
