Did you know that loft insulation can stop up to 25% of heat escaping through the roof? Or that around a third of all heat lost in uninsulated homes escapes through the walls?
These home improvements make a significant difference to the comfort, cost and energy efficiency of a home, yet many households are simply unable to afford the work.
Alongside our funders, Southampton City Council, Southampton Healthy Homes is bridging the gap by linking homeowners with funding, installers and support services that make these vital home improvements possible.
Why is it important?
We believe everyone has the right to live in a good quality, safe and warm home. Without our in-depth, specialist support, many residents would be accumulating energy debt, living in cold homes and feeling worried about the future.
Through Southampton Healthy Homes, we’re:
🟡 Improving living conditions.
🟡 Reducing health risks.
🟡 Improving energy finances.
🟡 Helping households save money and energy.
🟡 Reducing carbon emissions.
