New approaches to managing construction waste
In Andalusia in Spain new waste management laws have been introduced to encourage developers to manage their carbon footprints more comprehensively. By combining local authority management of new regulations with research based estimates of construction waste production a “closed loop” for construction waste management and recycling has been developed and trialled in a number of sites around Seville. The workshop will describe how the processes operate and how the outcomes are helping to reduce the impact of construction waste on the low carbon agenda.
This was an element of the SEEDA co-ordinated EU project – SusPurPol.
