Mike started as a mechanical engineer, serving a 5-year apprenticeship with Haden Young. He moved on through the industry and into underfloor heating about 25 years ago, when he established Warmafloor - a totally U.K. based underfloor heating/cooling manufacturer and supplier. He has recently served as the Chairman of the Underfloor Heating Manufacturers’ Association.
Spearheading the continuing development of the UK’s radiant floor heating industry, Warmafloor’s unique design and installation expertise has led to their systems being installed in some of the UK’s most prestigious and award-winning buildings, including landmark projects such as the British Museum, Airbus A380 factory and the Scottish Parliament Building.
Warmafloor has now progressed into new premises and incorporates the Sustainable Energy Centre, which demonstrates underfloor heating in association with other sustainable technologies, to the industry.
In his capacity as head of the SEC, Mike frequently presents CPD seminars on Underfloor Heating and Cooling and Conditioning of Modern Buildings to consultants, design engineers and architects.
