Since their launch in 2005, the South East Low Carbon Awards have celebrated the achievements of the winners and provided them with great publicity. Supported by the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) and the Government Office for the South East (GOSE), these prestigious awards are an important way of identifying and celebrating best practice and helping to spread new ideas.

Also Highly Commended in the Public Sector Commitment to Carbon Reduction Award was the University of Surrey with their entry 'Design, development and introduction of Combined Heat and Power'
Also Highly Commended in the Private Sector Commitment to Carbon Reduction Award was Valueform Ltd with their entry 'Development and launch of carbon neutral padded envelopes'
Also Highly Commended in the Private Sector Commitment to Carbon Reduction Award were Sigrid Stagl and Peter Kaufmann with their entry 'Eco refurbishment of Victorian House'
The winner of the Individual Champion for Sustainable Energy Award was Richard Dunne for his entry 'A renewable energy amd energy efficiency programme in a state primary school'
