Numerous grants are currently available to help with the cost of loft and cavity wall insulation. Currently, these grants cover 100% of the cost for those over 70, who own their own house, or are privately renting (dependent upon landlord's permission). The funding for this scheme comes from DEFRA, under the Carbon Emission Reduction Target (CERT) Scheme. Discounts are also available for those under 70.
